Hi everyone, here’s a little about me and why I chose to become a Scalp Micropigmentation artist.

I’ve always had a high forehead and was often teased about it at school. Because of this, I grew a fringe and spent many years trying to hide it. As I got older, I started to notice that I was becoming slightly receding in my 30s.

Feeling paranoid and insecure about it, I decided at the age of 39 to look into treatment options. After doing some research, although admittedly not enough, I travelled to Cyprus to have the procedure done.

Unfortunately, the treatment was done badly. The dots were large and didn’t resemble natural hair follicles at all, and they eventually turned blue due to the practitioner using the wrong ink, depth, and technique.

Because of this, I had no choice but to undergo laser removal. This process took 11 sessions, yes 11, due to the depth and the traditional permanent tattoo ink that had been used.

At SMP Hair Solutions, we only use the best products for our clients. We use FOLICULE and BISHOP semi-permanent micropigmentation inks and needles, ensuring the safest and most natural results possible.

The laser treatment also caused my hairline to become thinner at the front edge, which made my insecurity feel even worse.
